I think it's cool. And wow - a drummer who actually knows how to compose & record - that surely helps.
It will be difficult for the voice with the parts that are there now, as the synth is always leading the melody. I think it must be thinned out in the verse parts to create space for the voice.

Yes that's ok for an intro or a variation in the middle but it's very leading.
